Opening our Delhi Street entrance

The Delhi Street entrance near our Emergency Department was closed when we erected our Emergency Department triage trailer in 2020. We are pleased to share that we will reopen this entrance starting Tuesday, November 7, from 5:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. seven days a week.

This entrance is more convenient for those arriving by public transit. Bus Route 12 takes you directly to the hospital and the Delhi Street entrance is in close proximity to the nearest stop. With limited parking available, public transit is encouraged when possible.

The entrance will be locked from 9 p.m. – 5:30 a.m. seven days a week to ensure the hospital is secure overnight. Entrance to the hospital is through the Emergency Department during the overnight hours or via the main entrance for visitors.

Parking is available in the main lots, located behind the hospital and in front of the 73 Delhi Street entrance. The Delhi Street entrance is for drop-off use only, transit users, and pedestrian access to the street. If you are coming to the hospital to pick up a day surgery patient, please use the main entrance.

As a reminder, smoking is prohibited at Guelph General Hospital including near entrances. If you choose to smoke, we ask that you do so off our grounds at the provided receptacles. Thank you for helping us promote the health of those that work and receive care here as well as limit the waste on our campus.

Thank you.
